Projects
Copan Maya Foundation and Copan Association
To preserve Copan and ensure its future, we must understand its past. Accordingly, the Copan Maya Foundation partners with the Copan Association (www.asociacioncopan.org), a Honduran non-profit organization, whose history, resources and local presence since 1990 are essential to project administration and implementation.
Together we support scholarly work and fund educational, cultural and environmental projects that help understand the ancient past of this important region. Projects are determined by considering community needs, site requirements, and the Copan Management Plan as drafted by independent consultants for the government of Honduras.
