Adopt A Project

Copan Ruinas inaugurated the newly refurbished Children´s Interactive Learning Center Casa Kínich on March 25, 2008.   Since it’s opening in 2002, Casa Kínich has welcomed over thousands of visitors from all over the world, young and old alike.  Entrance to this child based learning center is free ensuring no child is ever turned away, however Casa Kínich must survive on donations for day-to-day expenses such as staff, lighting, repairs, electricity, etc.

The new location is three times its original size with many new interactive displays. We need patrons to help us with the upkeep of this child based learning center.  Won’t you please help us out? Casa Kínich, or ¨House of the Sun¨ is the only child based learning center located near a Mayan ruin.  A donation in any amount helps Casa Kínich to continue carrying its message to even more of the youth of Honduras and the world by developing programs and enabling Casa Kínich to keep the entrance free of charge.
