The Copan Maya Foundation needs your help to protect the Maya world’s cultural heritage.

The pressures of poverty, population, and pollution threaten cultural properties in Honduras and other developing countries in Mesoamerica. Without planned conservation efforts, the remains and lessons of the ancient Maya civilization will be lost. Without the participation of both international and local communities, sustainable preservation of these enormous monuments is not possible.

The Copan Maya Foundation works to protect and conserve archaeological sites in developing countries in Mesoamerica, with Copan being our primary focus. Our global network of government, academic advisors, conservation and funding partners support our work in promoting community-based site conservation and sustainable regional development of tourism and cultural resources.
